Players
For players, the cost is already factored into the price of the tournament. So you'll pay the same online as you would mailing your entry (well, actually, you'll save the price of a stamp).
Tournament Directors
When planning a tournament, one thing you typically do is to include the cost of the ratings fee for USATT. You'll want to do the same thing here. Because OfficialTournaments.com is a complete Tournament management system, each tournament is priced based upon number of players, regardless of whether they enter online or via mail (which the Director can then enter into this site to manage the tournament). Since we know some players will still register in person or via mail, our fees are based upon an average cost.
So what does that actually mean? OfficialTournaments.com uses PayPal as it's payment processing company, which charges a percentage of each payment . To simplify pricing, we have calculated the average fee per player will be $3. So if your tournament has 100 registered players, the total fee (which includes all online payment fees) is $300. OfficialTournaments.com will collect all online payments, subtract the player fees and send a check to the tournament within 1 week of the registration deadline.
